Armed Forces Medical College [AFMC] Pune, will be conducting their undergraduate MBBS course admissions 2019 based on candidate’s performance in NEET 2019. AFMC authority do not conduct separate entrance exam for admission. Interested candidates have to apply from their score in NEET entrance exam.
The exam is scheduled to be held on May 5th and will be led by National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam will be in offline mode, using pen and paper. The admit card of NEET 2019 exam can be downloaded from April 15.
AFMC Eligibility Criteria 2019
- Candidates must be unmarried, and marriage during the course is not permitted.
- Only Indian Citizens can apply for the AFMC MBBS course.
- Candidates who have obtained the eligibility certificate from the Ministry of Home Affairs can also apply.
- The minimum height and weight required for AFMC
admission are mentioned below:
For Girls – Minimum Weight: 36kgs, Minimum Height: 144 cm
For Boys – Minimum Weight: 47kgs, Minimum Height: 157.5 cm [with exception to Gorkhas, Nepalis, Assamese and Garhwali for whom Min. Height: 152.5cms] - Candidates must be mentally and physically fit to pursue the course, and only AFMC Medical Board will declare the fit/unfit certificate for candidates.
- Academic eligibility for AFMC is the same as those mentioned in the NEET 2019 regulations.
AFMC has issued a list of non-eligibility clauses:
- Candidate should have no Domestic Arithmetic, Domestic Science or Lower Maths in Class 12 or equivalent examination.
- Those who have made a combination of General Science/Social studies with the above-listed subjects are not eligible.
- Those candidates will not be considered for AFMC MBBS admission who have qualified Pre-University/Pre-Degree (one-year course) or Pre-Professional in Agriculture/Veterinary/Dental Examination
AFMC MBBS Key Dates 2019
Tentative dates of AFMC MBBS admission 2019 are available. Official dates will be released later on.
- Starting of online registration-1st week of July
- Last date to register and fill the application form-2nd week of July
- List of candidates applied for AFMC from DGHS-2nd week of July
- List of candidates shortlisted for the screening -2nd week of July
- Screening at AFMC, Pune-3rd week of July
- Releasing the list of selected/waitlisted candidates-Last week of July
- Reporting for admission-1st week of August
AFMC Admission Process 2019
Applications will be made through online mode only
via their official website. The application forms will be available for
candidates from the first week of July.
AFMC is most likely to release the merit list in the last week of June on their
official website. The cut-off changes from year to year but knowing the
previous year cut-off will help the students to get an idea about what to
expect this year. Interested candidates should register before the second week
of July.
Candidates are required to pay Rs.1000 as AFMC application fee and the payment should be made through Demand Draft in the name of ‘DGFAMS Admission Fund’ and submit to the SBI Bank. Candidates shortlisted for AFMC will be called for a second round of screening in July which will be held in AFMC Campus, Pune. This screening would include a test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning, Psychological Assessment Test, Interview and Medical Examination.
There are overall 150 seats for 2019 admission.A total of 117 seats are available for male candidates. There are 28 seats for female candidates. Five seats are sponsored by Ministry of Home Affairs.

- Certificate which should state that the candidate was a regular student.
