After the January session of JEE Main 2019, the National Testing Agency is all set to conduct the April session exam. The April session of JEE Main 2019 is scheduled to be conducted from 7th April to 20th April. The JEE Main Admit Card for April session will be released on 20th March 2019. The exam will have two shifts – Shift 1 for Paper 1 (B.tech/B.E) and Shift 2 for Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning).
The April session of the exam will see many applicants from the January session as the best scores of the candidates will be considered from both the sessions. Here, in this article, we have provided the complete exam pattern and all other important details of the April session of JEE Main 2019.

Exam Pattern of JEE Main 2019
JEE Main 2019 will have two papers- Paper 1 for B.E/B. Tech candidates and Paper 2 for B.Arch/B.Planning candidates. Both the papers will be conducted on the scheduled dates in two shifts. Paper 1 will be held in shift one i.e. 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and Paper 2 in shift 2 i.e. 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
Exam Pattern for Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech) – The Paper 1 will be conducted in online mode and will have 90 multiple choice questions equally spread over three sections Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The composite time of the exam will be 3 hours, and the maximum marks of the exam are 360 marks. The exam will be conducted in Hindi and English languages. However, the students from Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli can opt for the Gujarati Language.
Marking Scheme- A student will be awarded four marks for each correct answer, and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. The following table explains the exam pattern of Paper 1 of JEE Main 2019

Exam Pattern for Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning)- Paper 2 will be conducted in partially online and partially offline mode. Mathematics and Aptitude test will be online while the Drawing Test will be offline. The Paper will be spread over three sections- Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing Test. The composite time of the paper is 3 hours, and the maximum marks of the exam are 390 marks. The exam will be conducted in Hindi and English languages. However, the students from Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli can opt for the Gujarati Language.
Marking Scheme – All questions in Mathematics and Aptitude section will have equal weightage i.e. four marks each, and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. While questions based on drawing carry a total of 70 marks and the candidate will be awarded marks on his drawing skills.
